Wonderful book of short stories. This books profits go towards rescue efforts, as it is a labor of love for Kyla and the rest of the people who put out this book (and others like it) to support rescue. This is so heart felt & REAL stories of adoption, a good & easy read! Inspiring, heartwarming, a few tears, rays of joy and true! The main message individual stories of LOVE and adoption of an unwanted, neglected, abused &/or frightened dog, (& most have photo of the cocker to go with the story!)
Each individual story is a true story, by the adopter or foster, about their particular cocker (or cockers) that have touched their lives through rescue/adoption. I would call this a "short story compilation". Easy to read, some stories are long, others short, all are excellent & individual. These stories are not written by professional writers, they are real people writing their hearts into the book. I laughed, I cried, I got warm fuzzy feelings.... and a plethora of other emotions as well. Pick it up, put it down, and pickup where you left off. The short story aspect makes it simple to do. I have it sitting on my table and guests always pick it up to read a story or two, and ask me about dog rescue.
If you've ever adopted a dog, these books of the Lost Souls FOUND are for you. Truly inspirational by those who live rescue daily, and by those for whom it has touched and changed their lives, and the lives of the dogs that were saved.
Please support your local rescue or shelter, "adopt, don't shop", spay & neuter, "don't buy while shelters animals die", and donate time, funds or expertise to help animals who can not speak for themselves, anyway you can. This book was absolutely lovely.
